Shala
Shala is a sanskrit word meaning " Home " a gathering place for students to practice, share experience and grow.
In Ayurveda the term Shala is used to refer to the Sal tree which is a tropical tree native to the indian subcontinent. This tree has many medicinal and healing properties.
TROPICAL HOUSE
Tropical house is a luxury villa , located in a jungle setting close to the stunning beaches of Hikkaduwa only a 90 minute car transfer from Colombo international airport.
The house was lovingly restored in 2018 combining contemporary sleek lines with traditional Sri Lankan beauty.
All the rooms are individual and come with stunning en suite bathrooms complete with rain showers, beautifully designed with sumptuous beds and unique style with views from your own terrace or balcony overlooking the tropical gardens.
There is a sizeable sparkling pool surrounded by peaceful tropical gardens, home to exotic birds and playful monkeys. An idilic paradise to rest , relax and reset.
The house comes fully staffed with a talented chef bringing healthy breakfasts and delicious Sri Lankan dinners using market fresh local produce .
Menus offered can be fully vegetarian .
The beach is a short walk or a 5 min Tuk Tuk ride .
Tuk Tuks are readily available day and night, extremely cheap and offer a fun way of getting around!
